Senior Data Governance

I. Responsibilities

1. Data Stewardship:

• Establish and enforce guidelines for data management and usage.
• Ensure compliance and data integrity across the organization.
• Collaborate with various departments to create a unified set of rules and standards for handling, storing, and accessing data.

1. Data Quality:

• Implement quality assurance policies and practices to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Work closely with business units and data stewards to establish data quality metrics and continually assess data for accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
• Conduct regular audits and assessments to maintain high data quality standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and resolve data quality problems.

1. MetaData Management:

• Facilitate data lineage, data cataloging, and data discovery processes.
• Ensure metadata is accurately maintained to support data transparency and usability.

1. Data Privacy and Compliance:

• Ensure data handling and storage comply with relevant laws and regulations: Decree 13 & 356.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest data protection legislation and conduct risk assessments.
• Implement security measures to safeguard sensitive information.

1. Data Governance Framework:

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive data governance framework outlining roles, responsibilities, and processes.
• Formulate and document data governance policies and procedures.
• Emphasize transparency and accountability in all data governance activities.
  II. Qualifications & Experience
• 4+ years experience in the Data management and data governance domain.
• Solid understanding of data governance practices and principles, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and approaches related to data protection.
• Experience in developing and operating data governance policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
• Prior experience in the F&B, Retail, or E-commerce sectors is highly preferred (handling data from POS, CRM, ERP, loyalty apps, etc.).
  Technical & Analytical Skills
• Proficient in data extraction, manipulation using advanced SQL/ Python/ Excel; experience with Power BI, Tableau, etc. is a plus
• Strong understanding of Data Modeling concepts and the ability to map business logic into data structures.
• Experience using data governance tools such as Data Catalog, Data Lineage, Data Quality, Master Data, etc..
• Familiarity with modern data tools and stack (e.g., dbt, Airflow, or cloud Warehouses like Redshift/BigQuery/ClickHouse) is a plus.
• Have knowledge of international frameworks such as DAMA, DCAM, etc. is a strong plus.
